Walk cylces part 1

Here are the two walk cycle I used for my test animation and the 4 legged one is one i look at for my character. I also looked at some videos on youtube.
When animating the walk cycles I realised that a walk cycle can be spilt into 4 parts
Contact, Recoil, Passing and high point.
(Note I found that contact and passing should be at the same height)

When coming up with the test animation I found that animating 2 types of walk cycles helped me get use to maya and to animate walk cycles

The two types of walk cycles I use are walking and Jumping I found this sheet to be very helpful.
Because of my charater having long arms I figured that it walking on its arms also would be a good idea
Here are the References for a Gorilla walk cycles that I used.

For what i can tell from is that it walk is smillar to 2 legs but the Opposite arm is used if not a slight delay than almost on time and can cross over however I don't think my character legs can because the arms are to bulky.
I also looked at others who animated gorilla walk cycles.

Another Website that good to look at is:

Robotic movement

I noticed that there is less movement when a robot moves to when a  human moves
